Mixin' it up!

Καθόμουν στο σπίτι, κάνοντας unboxing των τελευταίων δώρων μου από Forever 21 και άκουσα την μαμά μου να με ρωτάει τι θα φορούσα σε αυτό το cocktail πάρτυ. Αφού έσκιζα τα χαρτιά και τα πακέτα θυμήθηκα ότι μόλις είχα αγοράσει μια ριγέ, μίντι φούστα από εκεί την οποία ήθελα ανυπόμονα να φορέσω. Και καθώς δεν είμαι πολύ "λογική" με το στυλ μου, είχα την επιθυμία να το "ανακατέψω" λίγο. Η φούστα έχει κουμπιά μέχρι πάνω, πολύ εντυπωσιακό και εύκολο να τη φορέσεις, έχοντας αυτό το boho, για φεστιβάλ αέρα. Σε κάνε να θες να την φορέσεις ένα καλοκαιρινό, δροσερό βράδυ σε κάποιο Ελληνικό νησί. Επίσης σε κάνει να θες να βγεις με τις φίλες σου για cocktails, βγάζοντας πολλές φωτογραφίες. Έτσι ακριβώς πρέπει να είναι ένα κομμάτι. Ένα κοντό μπλουζάκι είναι ακριβώς ότι πρέπει για αυτό το outfit, αλλά δεν ήμουν σίγουρη για ένα κοντό πουκάμισο. Παρ'ότι λάτρευα την αντίθεση στα σχέδια. Το κόκκινο είναι ένα από τα χρώματά μου, με αυτό το είδος vintage λουλούδια να είναι ο τέλειος ατελής συνδυασμός μαζί με τη φούστα. Αρχικά, σκέφτηκα να το φορέσω ανάποδα. Το να είναι τα κουμπιά από πίσω είναι κάτι για το οποίο είμαι πολύ σίγουρη και το αποτέλεσμα πάντα δείχνει ένα τελείως διαφορετικό look. Μπορείς άνετα να κάνεις mix & match ακόμα και με ρούχα με το ίδιο pattern, αρκεί να βρεις το κατάλληλο είδος. Για παράδειγμα, μπορείς να επενδύσεις σε διπλό φλοράλ, με την προυπόθεση πως θα διαλέξεις διαφορετικά σχήματα λουλούδια. Ένα με μικρά, ρομαντικού ύφους μαζί με ένα με μεγαλύτερα, vintage, πιο τολμηρό. Μπορούσα να φορέσω ένα outfit σαν αυτό με όλα τα είδη παπουτσιών, το ίδιο κι εσύ! Sneakers, loafers, slip ons, φλατ, ψηλά τακούνια. Διάλεξα τα πραγματικά άνετα lace up τακούνια για το cocktail πάρτυ!

I was sitting at home, unboxing my latest Forever 21 gifts and I heard my mom asking me what I would wear to that cocktail party. As I ripped down the packages I remembered that I had, literally, just bought a stripped, midi skirt from there which I impatiently wanted to wear. And as I'm not very "sensible" with my style, I had the desire to mix it up a little. The skirt is buttoned up, too cool and easy to wear, and has this boho, festive attitude. Makes you wannna wear it on a summer, breezy night in a Greek island. It also makes you wanna go out and drink cocktails with your friends, taking a bunch of photos. That's how a piece should be. A cropped top is probably the best option for this, but I wasn't really sure about a cropped shirt. Though I did adore the pattern contrast that was created. Red is one of my colors as well, and with this kind of vintage flowers is the perfectly imperfect combination, along with the skirt. At first I thought I would wear it backwards. Having the buttons on the other side is something I'm extremely confident about and most of the times it pays off, with a -seemingly- completely different look. You could easily mix & match with even the same pattern clothes, as long as you find the right kinds. For instance, you can go with double floral, providing that you choose different shapes of flowers. A tiny, romantic pattern one along with a bigger, vintage, bold one. I could wear an outfit like that with every kind of shoes, so can you! Sneakers, loafers, slip ons, flats, high heels. I chose my amazingly comfortable lace up heels for a cocktail party!
